An amount of blood is drawn and put in a centrifuge machine that will separate the substance from the rest of the blood, giving us a protein-concentrated substance that promotes healing with its growth factors.

• When doing a Platelet Rich Plasma session, the specialist takes a small amount of blood from the patient’s arm and then puts it inside the centrifuge. The machine will spin the blood at a certain speed until the blood splits into three layers: Red blood cells, platelet-rich plasma, and platelet-poor plasma.
• The platelet rich plasma is then taken and injected into the scalp areas that are affected by hair loss — the number of injections you need will depend on how large the area to be treated is. It can be from 10 to 20 injections per session.
• The process of Platelet Rich Plasma injections takes between 30 and 45 minutes, and the number of sessions for optimal results is approximately 2 to 3 sessions per month, but it will depend on your hair loss level. Your doctor will determine how many sessions and how many injections you need.
