Buttock Augmentation, also known as BBL (Brazilian Butt Lift), is an FDA-approved plastic surgery that relies mainly on autologous fat injection. Autologous fat injection means sucking fat from different areas of the body, where fat is accumulated (according to the surgeon’s vision), and then transferring and injecting them into the buttocks. This procedure is also known as a self-fat injection. This fat transfer does not only adds volume to the buttocks but also eliminates the accumulated excess fat in unwanted areas.

There is also another type of Buttocks Augmentation Operation, which is done by fillers. The fillers are silicon butt implants placed in the buttocks area to give the buttocks an enhanced, rounder, and natural look. Buttock augmentation surgery primarily aims to enhance or lift the buttocks area to make it seem more attractive and rounder shape.

This cosmetic procedure can also treat asymmetrical body shapes. Some people face asymmetrical body forms, such as one side of the buttock being more significant than the other or sagging skin on the buttocks. Due to the patient’s condition and desires, the plastic surgeon decides what method will be used, either buttock implants, buttock enhancement by fat grafting, or buttock lift.

Auto-Fat Technology to Enlarge the Buttocks

This technique is safe as no unfamiliar objects are introduced into the body. Instead, the doctor injects fat that he takes from the body by liposuction with the Vaser technology from areas where fat accumulates. Then, a medical team purifies the fat and separates it from blood and water. The extracted fats are injected into the buttocks area by microneedles.

This technique mostly does not cause health problems or severe side effects since the injected fat is extracted from the body. Keep in mind that although the procedure includes liposuction, buttock augmentation is not a weight loss surgery.

Fillings Technology to Enlarge the Buttocks

The fillings for the buttock area are silicone fillings. Unlike the self-fat injection procedure, these silicones are surgically inserted in the buttocks. These fillings address small or flabby butt problems. The surgeon makes a small surgical incision above the butt muscles, then inserts the fillings into this area to enlarge the buttocks and give them a natural look.
