Cosmelan is an effective method used to treat skin spots caused by old age, pregnancy or sun exposure. How is the application carried out?

Cosmelan application should be preferred in winter months. It is a procedure that does not use needles and does not require anesthesia. The person arrives with rested skin, without makeup. The skin is first cleaned, then the oil layer on it is removed with a special degreaser. Cosmelan mask is applied in a thick layer to the skin, excluding the eye and lip area. After waiting 15 minutes, the patient is sent home while wearing a mask. The mask is washed off after approximately 8-10 hours. It is checked after 15 days and the use of follow-up cream is started. This treatment also includes blemish suppressant creams that require long-term use. It is necessary to use this cream regularly for 1-1.5 years.

Result and Process

A check-up is performed one month after the treatment and the patient’s skin reactions are observed. Regular checks are carried out in the following months. During this process, the patient becomes informed about the cream used and its reactions. In summer months, sun protection should be taken into consideration and the cream dose should be adjusted.
